EANECE’s core values are:  

1. Equity: Network members commit to work together on the basis of equity for the mutual benefit of all.
2. Focus: Network activities will be designed based on country priorities that address regional challenges, including trans-boundary environmental issues.
3. Commitment: Network members commit themselves to freely share experiences and information on innovative strategies and best practices.
4. Co-operation: Network members shall promote collaboration through:
   
   1. In-country and regional stakeholder participation in policy/law development and capacity building activities.
   2. Joint national/regional enforcement programmes.
   3. Collaboration with other networks, regional and international organizations, development partners, state and non-state actors.
5. Sustainability: Network activities will promote institutional sustainability that will leverage support from members, development partners and other stakeholders to ensure financial and technical sustainability.
